Website redesign, modernisation and optimisation

When a site is slow, dated or fails to lead to contact, I find out what is holding it back and fix it — from speed and accessibility to a full redesign.

Who it is for

  • Sites that load slowly, especially on phones.
  • Websites that look dated and fail to build trust.
  • Sites where visitors get lost before they reach contact.

What it includes

  1. Audit

I measure performance (Lighthouse, Core Web Vitals) and check accessibility, technical SEO and the path to contact. Based on that, we decide what to fix and what to rebuild.

  2. Performance

Modern image formats (AVIF, WebP), correct sizes, lighter fonts and scripts, no layout shift.

  3. Accessibility

Contrast, keyboard access, clear labels and heading structure — working towards WCAG 2.2 AA. Automated (axe) and manual testing.

  4. UX and the path to contact

Clear calls to action, simpler navigation and a mobile layout that leads straight to the goal.

  5. Redesign and migration

A new look and a lighter stack, keeping what already works. Old URLs are redirected to new ones (301) so existing visibility is not thrown away.

Process

Four stages, no surprises.

  1. Discover
  2. Design
  3. Develop
  4. Refine & Launch

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a full redesign?

Not always. I start with an audit — targeted fixes often achieve more than rebuilding the whole site.

Will a redesign hurt my rankings?

I reduce the risk by carrying over content that works and redirecting old URLs to new ones. Nobody can honestly guarantee nothing will change, but a migration can be done properly.
